Testimony given American Missionary Fellowship By Lyle Reinhold

May 15, 1979

“The following is a short sketch of my history and life. I was born and raised on a large South Dakota ranch near Rapid City. I was raised by Christian parents to which I am thankful to God for. This accounted for my being saved at a very young age. I always said that if the Lord wanted to use me, I was His. This was easy to say but a LOT harder to practice. When I finally felt the Lord calling me into full-time service, I was very rebellious, I wanted to be a rancher and auctioneer worse than anything else, especially a preacher! One thing led to another and I became a mighty uncomfortable young man. After a lot of loving chastisement from the Lord, I finally , at a special meeting told the Lord if He wanted me that bad he could have me. I was never as happy as I was that night. The next day I was farming and had an accident by falling off the tractor and being run over by a disc. Only by the mercy of God am I alive, but I know that this was all in His plan and can now thank Him for it today.

Through all of this, serving the Lord in the capacity He allows is my chief goal in life. This is my reason for coming to Idaho this summer with AMF. Being able to serve the Lord by sharing with a very special kind of people - the American rancher/farmer..................”

In Christ Till He Comes,

Lyle Reinhold
