JOY COMES IN THE MORNING

by Vicky Reinhold

I've never cared for the darkness,

My imagination was great as a child;

Eerie shadows, and eerie noises

Made my dreams ever so wild!

I'm sure you've all experienced this:

Scary moments in the night,

Every hour was an eternity

Just waiting for it to get light!

As I now look back across the years

With its joys and with its sorrows;

The dark long night of tears would come

And I would long for a tomorrow.

For I knew it would get better,

Weeping endures but for a night;

I knew I must keep trusting

And soon Jesus would make it light!

America and the entire world

Is experiencing night for sure,

We wish we could turn back the time

And make things as they were.

Broken homes, and broken hearts,

Seems the night will never end;

Jesus waits in the darkest hour

And His love to you He will send!

America, put your trust in Jesus

He will see us through the night.

His nail-scarred hand will dry each tear

For He is our Eternal Light!

Lift up your heart to Jesus,

Even though the enemy is scorning;

Remember, Weeping endures for the night,

But JOY COMES IN THE MORNING!!!!!!!!
