Holiday 2002Christmas Greetings from Larry, Robin and family
Merry Christmas Friends! We send warm holiday greetings to each and every one of you. We are so blessed to have so many good friends, near and far, and we pray that this special season will hold for you precious blessings and memories.
The years just keep ticking by, don’t they? 2002 has held for us happy days and tough times alike, and through it all, God is so faithful. His promises are always true and even when we feel like we’ve reached the end of our rope, He’s right there to catch us and carry us on in His love, mercy and faithfulness. What a mighty God we serve!
Our family continues to grow, both physically and numerically. Our newest addition, Caleb James, who joined us on September 2, is growing like a little weed in the springtime! He is such a peaceful, sweet little guy, and is adored by all.
Danny proudly jumped into the role of big brother, and he’s patiently waiting for Caleb to be big enough to wrestle. Danny’s favorite toy is a screwdriver -- nothing mechanical is safe in our house anymore! He had his first (and probably not his last) cast this summer, as he broke all four fingers on his right hand. We’ re thankful to the Lord for complete healing.
Our jolly Molly is now a big seven-year-old, full of life, love and enthusiasm. Those of you who have seen Molly astride her Pumpkin pony on a Friday afternoon rodeo at camp know that she’s happiest in high gear. She doesn’t slow down until her head hits the pillow at night. She’s sailing through first grade and loves being a Sparkie in Awana on Wednesday nights.
Rachel is nine and is her Mommy’s right hand. She is an avid reader and begs to leave her light on “just a few more minutes, Mom”! She acquired her Daddy’s favorite horse, Tom, this year and they have become great partners. Whenever Rachel has a few spare minutes she can be found at the piano, practicing her lesson or sounding out a new song. She’s even written a couple of songs, and I have dreams of her some day writing theme songs for Rainbow! Both of the girls do a super job of keeping their brothers entertained and helping with the daily chores on the ranch.
Larry and I keep very busy with all the demands of the ranch and camp. It has been a challenge this year with the drought to keep everything going, to find enough hay for the stock, etc. Larry has been able to continue his ministry of filling pulpit in area churches, as well as serving on the board for Steer, Inc. My days are full with home schooling and caring for my crew, which I count a great privilege.
We did take a little venture up to Bismarck again this fall for the Steer Missions Conference. We were blessed by some great speakers, renewing old acquaintances, making new friends, and we all enjoyed hearing the India Children’s Choir. It was fun to have our nieces, Melinda and Jana accompany us, and of course it was a thrill to see what God is doing through such a variety of ministries all around the world. It is awesome to see how the Lord uses so many different means of spreading the good news of Jesus Christ to the vast array of people groups and cultures. Though the people and cultures vary so much, the message is still always the same -- that God sent His Son Jesus, Who’s birth we are now celebrating, to earth to take the punishment of our sins upon Himself so that we can go to heaven. And that message must urgently be shared, for Christ is our only hope in this dark world! That is precisely why we operate Rainbow Bible Ranch and we give a hearty “thank you” to each one of you who have partnered with us in that endeavor.
Please come visit us for one of our Friday Night Fellowships this year. May the message of hope shine brightly in your hearts as you celebrate Jesus!
