Rainbow Reflector Winter 2002

Where Are They Now?

Over the years, we have been blessed with a growing number of young people who give their summer months to serving the Lord on staff at Rainbow Bible Ranch. They truly become part of our family here. It is a thrill for us to hear from former staff members and how so many continue in the ministry in various ways. Here are some updates on just a few that you may remember from years past.

Jennifer (Painter) Cowles served as a girls’ counselor from 1995-1997. On January 1, 1999, she married Ben Cowles and now resides in northern California. This past year, the Lord blessed them with a beautiful baby daughter, Katie, and Jen enjoys her role as a full-time homemaker. She also teaches at their church-school one day a week, sings in the church choir, and teaches a high school ladies Sunday School class. Ben works as firefighter/paramedic, and is also involved in their church ministries.

Dean Rankin joined us in 1988-89 as a boys’ counselor. Dean and his wife Kris have two children, TJ and Rose. They are at home in Kingston, MI where Dean is on teaching staff at Teen Ranch, a home for troubled boys.

Sally (Miller) Crowser served in the counselor position in 1989. In September of 2000 she married Witt Crowser and they live up the road near Belle Fourche, SD. Sally is in her 5th year of teaching high school English at Belle Fourche, and also enjoys coaching oral interpretation and one-act play. Sally and Witt enjoy their horses and working together on their place.

Jake Killinger was part of the team here for 7 years, from 1991-1997. He has been married to Becky for three years, and they reside in Rapid City, SD where Jake is the youth pastor at First Presbyterian Church. Becky also works at the church as Director of Children’s Ministries. They enjoy ministering together, and enjoy their lab pup, “Church”.
