FROM THE MOUNTAIN TOP
God is doing many great things around this world, and one of those great ministries is close to my heart. Please allow me to share some info with you about this opportunity.
By the time I could walk, I loved horses. Even to this day I agree that the "outside of a horse, is good for the inside of a person." If you have a young person who is interested in horses, please consider sending them to Rainbow Bible Ranch located near Sturgis, South Dakota.
Larry and Robbin Reinhold have managed this Bible Camp for years and are tremendous at showing young people what it is like to live on a real working ranch. The campers get lots of time with the horses, and an amazing adventure into the Bible.
Larry and Robbin have done such a great job in raising good young adults, that I would full heartedly recommend that you allow them to influence your child, grandchild or that kid at church or within you community. Robbin's two older daughters sure make me wish I had another son at home - they are both amazing young ladies. The best part is that they are members of the staff who will be working with your youngster.
Children from 6 to 18 years of age are strongly encouraged to wisely invest a few days of your summer by attending one of these awesome camps. You will always be with campers your own age as you share one of the greatest adventures of your life!
I know, you have sports camps to attend - well here is my two cents: sports camps will help you play a sport that will soon fade into the sunset, a week at Rainbow Bible Ranch will give you tools that you will use the rest of your life. Be smart, do that which changes your heart!
If you don't have any children at home but would like to contribute to a ministry that leaves a life-impacting impression upon their campers, send a financial gift to these folks. Your gift will be dollars invested into eternity!
You can go to rainbowbibleranch.org for more information, or call 605-923-6056.

One of the best things my parents ever did for me as a kid was send me to Rainbow Bible Ranch! It was there, at the age of 9 when I accepted Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. Although I didn't walk with Him for the following 10 years, the time I had at camp laid a foundation for me for the years to come. <3
Building long-time friendships, learning God's word, and getting the opportunity for a "city kid" to learn about hard work and grit are just some of the things I'm so thankful for. Not to mention being around the Larry Robin Reinhold family who are incredible, faithful people who showed me a great example of God's picture of family and togetherness!
23 years later I sing some of the songs I remember from camp to my sweet Stella. I wish she could stay my baby forever, but I get excited to see what God will do for her heart when she attends camp in a few years!
Camps do cost money, but I know THIS camp is an investment that can have an incredible return! Spots do fill up, so if it doesn't work this year to send your kiddos, start planning and saving for next year!

Our church youth group had some hayrides out at the Reinhold ranch, twenty miles north of town. We used to count three and a half horizons as we bounced up the graveled road on our way to the Lone Tree Ranch. The drivers topped the hills at fifty miles per hour in the middle of these narrow roads because no one was ever coming. We took that and many other things on faith in those days.
When we got to the ranch, Tige Reinhold was waiting with a tractor hitched to the hay wagon and we piled out of the cars and onto the wagon. Tige was almost as big as the cattle he raised. Things got rowdy as we rolled over the dark prairie. I fell off the hay wagon a few times. Actually, we pushed each other off many times. We would run alongside the wagon and hop back up into the soft, scratchy hay.
Maybe I was getting a little tired, but once I just stayed on the ground and watched the hay wagon roll away. No one noticed my absence. When I was ready, I started to walk toward the wagon, but the full harvest moon was starting to light the South Dakota prairie. The beauty of the scene stopped me in my tracks. As I gazed at the moon and struggled in the dark without a trail, I had the strong thought that my life would involve many struggles, but if I followed the light I would get where I needed to go. I felt like God was talking to me while I was alone at night on the prairie. I know it doesn’t sound like much when I tell it years later, but it felt big at the time, and I remember it vividly to this day. I followed the moon, and returned in time to the hayride. No one was worried about me, and I spoke to no one about my experience.

WHAT DOES RBR MEAN TO YOU AS A FORMER STAFF MEMBER?
"Come away, find out Who I AM, and know My voice." Rainbow Bible Ranch: a place of distance from the world, a time where time seemed to stop and eternity began. A "bar" that was raised very high, but attainable.
Personal testimony:
I grew up in a pastor's home. I knew ALL about doing. Serving as a teachers helper at the age of 7, leading youth when I was a youth, working with the elderly, leading hymns during songs service, the list was endless.
I needed to learn about "Being" in Christ. I learned this being a camper. But the biggest lesson came the summer I was kitchen staff. The Lord taught me a hard lesson and I haven't forgotten it. I certainly wanted to be "doing" the role of camp counselor. That certainly looked liked a more noteworthy position than kitchen staff. I thought for sure I was equipped, I knew ALL about ministry or so I thought. They didn't need kitchen staff, I NEEDED to "be" kitchen staff. I needed to come away from it all, so as to fall in love with my Savior. And fall in love, I DID! He became everything to me. I didn't serve because it made me look good but because my love for Him flowed over. Yes, the very early mornings, sometimes ungrateful mouths, and flopped meals from a 15 year old. These taught me that leadership means "being" in Christ which is serving in humility. I really don't think I would be where I am today if I hadn't learned that. I am so grateful to Larry and Robin who listened to the Lord as they placed me in that perfect place, aka "kitchen staff."

My kids were able to go for the first time this year, and they both came home planning for next year's camp!
They learned so much about themselves, God and the surrounding community that we live in. Confidences were boosted, self-pride was minimized, new friendships were made and new respects for our ranch neighbors were recognized.
This is such a wonderful experience, both for the kids and the adults who get to live it thru their stories at the end of camp.

Added together, my family has attended Rainbow for over 26 years. I can't say enough about the God honoring program and its focus on Jesus. Throw in great teaching on work ethic, husbandry, stewardship, and family and you have a camp that helps parents raise godly men and women.

Rainbow Bible Ranch is a ministry that I have been abundantly blessed by not only as a camper but also as a staff member. Campers have the opportunity to learn and participate in many exciting activities and events. From riding horses on the beautiful plains of South Dakota, fishing or swimming in one of many ponds, singing personalized theme songs, or being challenged by the daily sessions, you will never run out of things to do or new friends to share them with. Above all, Rainbow Bible Ranch has the ultimate goal of sharing the love of Jesus with every person that walks through their doors. Parents are not left! They have the opportunity to cheer on their kids at a rodeo their kids star in and stay afterwards for a wonderful home-cooked meal and ceremony. You can be assured that when you step foot on the ranch, you will be treated like family by the staff and the wonderful Reinhold Family.

Entrusting your children to Rainbow Bible Ranch and its staff for summer camp is one of the best decisions a parent can make. The changes you will see in your child after just one week in this challenging and God centered environment will astound you.

My brother Laramie Strand attended this camp for many years! He loved every minute of it! I thank the Lord for Larry and Robin and their family, for their love and support for him through many trials in his life! I really feel this is such a blessing for every child who attends. If you are considering a camp for your child this summer I highly recommend to check into this camp! They love the kids with all their hearts and pour their heart and souls into serving the Lord! They will become family!
October 2013 - From Seth Rhodes
One Year Anniversary of Storm Atlas
Hey Reinhold Family,
I got to thinking about you guys last night, and God just kinda laid it on my heart to share this song with you today. I know that the 4th of October will, from now on, always be a day of deep thought for some of the Rainbow family. I still will never understand completely what your family went through. However, I can say that the impact your family has made on my life has seriously prompted me to think about how i am using my life. Not about how I'm going to live after I finish four years of school, or worrying about what my life will look like in five years, but how i am going to live to glorify the kingdom of God right now today. So often in the business/entrepreneurship world i hear "create your own path" but I think we get so caught up with "creating our own path" that we forget which way God wants us to go. Some events that have taken place over the past year weigh heavily in on where i believe God is calling me to serve full time. I want to thank you so much for your friendship and even more than that letting me just be a part of your family.
Living for the Kingdom daily
Love,
Seth Rhodes
