James Anderson 1939 - 2016

He was born to Paul R. and Mildred R. (Krueger) Anderson on October 18, 1939 in Beloit, Wisconsin. He resided there for the first eighteen years of his life before attending St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. He was a fixture there for the next four years except the summers when he worked for the Minneapolis YMCA at various summer camps in the area. When he graduated in 1961, he stayed with the college as a recruiter for the admissions department. Soon the Army called and said “We want you!” Thinking there had to be a better way to serve his country and having completed two years of Air Force ROTC while in college, he enlisted in the United States Air Force as there were no slots in the officer training programs at that time.

There were cows, horses, dogs, cats, the great outdoors, and sisters. Warren loved horses the most. From atop a horse he could rope calves, cows, fence posts, and sisters.

Kenneth McNenny 1935 - 2017

Kenneth McNenny 1935 - 2017

Kenneth George McNenny was born December 10, 1935, the only son to Tom and Mabel (Jorensen) McNenny. He grew up on the Homesteaded McNenny Ranch on the Belle Fourche River. Kenny attended a one room school country school from first thru eighth grade. He then was “boarded out” to attend High School in Sturgis, SD. He was the graduating class of 1954.
Being the only son of a rancher, it was inevitable that he would take over the family ranch which he did proudly. After many months of logging timber in the Black Hills to build a home, Kenny married the love of his life, Henrietta Young, on May 11, 1957. The couple had four children: Lyle Wayne, Lynn Del, Larry Allen, and Denise Doreen.
