Our Dear Friend Kenny
Our dear friend went to be with Jesus about a week and a half ago. To say "went" to be with Jesus is not completely accurate... Kenny Wintersteen lived for Jesus and was with Jesus in his daily walk here on this earth. One probably should say that Ken passed over into Glory... "Crossed over the River"...

Our family and so many others loved this man and his wife, Lynn, dearly. Kenny left an undeniable mark upon the Reinholds and Rainbow Bible Ranch. We enjoyed his family's presence as campers... We enjoyed their full support and promotion.... We enjoyed his fellowship in his home and at ours.... We shared the pulpit together with a number of congregations.... We enjoyed meals together... at home... at cafes... at potlucks... We enjoyed his wit and wisdom as he spoke at RBR events.... And we enjoyed his dear friendship... whether at the sale barn in Menno... at the Stock Show... at the kitchen table ... or in the living room. When the family heard of his passing... tears came easily for each one of us.. immediately followed by memories.

Missions Conference at Prairie Bible
We sure had a nice time with the folks at Prairie Bible Church Carpenter South Dakota. A treat was the special music that was presented. The Mendels sang "Courage" a song by Robin and myself. Thanks for a great conference.
Legacy III
Legacy III Bible Study with a great group of young men and women. Robin and I are so blessed to meet with them. The other nite was so pleasant that we did part of our study outdoors at @Main Street Square In Rapid City. We sure appreciate Alternative Fuel Coffee and Smoothies for welcoming us each week.

I shared yesterday of conversations I had with people from other parts of the country about my parents, Tige and Vicky Reinhold. Sometimes we forget that they were "young and full of dreams" at one time, as well. We remember them as Grandpa and Grandma... and with gray hair... and bodies that were failing. These photos, of my mother and father before they were married, reminds me of how God's plans for an individual plays out over a lifetime. Today if you are wondering about your journey... Don't give up... Don't quit... God wants to work in and through you. My Dad and Mom were good examples to me.... and I am forever grateful.

Robin and I are looking forward to sharing at the upcoming Missions Conferences at Prairie Bible Church in Carpenter, South Dakota this next weekend, September 14-16. We will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Church near Armour, South Dakota on September 22 at 10:00 AM. We are so grateful for the invitation and we are praying God's blessings upon these congregations.
It is a Tradition
It is a tradition for the family on the last nite of the camp season to mount up and take the camp remuda over east to pasture. The horses seem to know that have capped off a summer of being equine friends to hundreds of kids from around the country. The family and staff of RBR are grateful to this fine string of saddle horses that have provided a good experience to our "camp Kids".

“Do you give the horse its strength
or clothe its neck with a flowing mane?

striking terror with its proud snorting?
It paws fiercely, rejoicing in its strength,

The Pathfinder Garden
The park like setting that is so much a part of the area at RBR is there for our "customers". Even. though most of our "customers" are kids, we believe that enhancing the natural setting is appreciated and welcomed. This is the Pathfinder Garden that the crew has been working on the last few days. Little Ranchers camp is this week and it really is the only camp session that we can guarantee a spot for your child this summer. We are pretty much booked up for the 2024 season and there is a waiting list for kids if we have a cancellation. Check it out at our website.
