Wesley Decker February 11, 1930 - September 26, 2020

Rainbow Bible Ranch is honored to share in the life and memory of Wesley Decker

Wesley Roy Decker was born on February 11, 1930, to Sam and Emma Decker of Hitchcock, South Dakota. He grew up on the family farm with five other brothers and four sisters. Wesley graduated from Doland High School in 1949.

On July 31, 1952, Wesley marred Arlene Walter. A month after they were married, Wesley headed to Virginia to serve in the United States Army. Wes then received orders to transfer to Korea in January 1953.

Upon returning from Korea, Wesley and Arlene established their home on the farm near Frankfort, South Dakota To this marriage they added two sons and one daughter.

Wesley loved farming, tilling the ground and raising crops and livestock. Wesley worked hard in growing his farm and desiring to support and love his family. Wesley was a man of integrity, honor and possessed a kind heart.

He was honest, gentle and hard working. Above all these he was dedicated to his family and most important was his love and commitment to Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Wesley was a man of prayer; leading his family in devotions and dedication to the Word of God.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Arlene; his parents, Sam and Emma Decker; his older brother, Alvin; and brother-in-law, Bob Entzel.

Survivors include his children, Steve (Beth) Decker of Frankfort; Darcie Decker of Rapid City; and Scott Decker of Huron; Wesley’s grandchildren, Mandi, Jesse (Kathlyn), Donnie (Hannah), Abbey, Joshua and Jacob. His grandchildren and great grandchildren, Isaac, Titus, Esther, brought him many smiles and joy. His is also survived by his siblings, Laverne (Clara) Decker, Duwane (Sharon) Decker, Vohn (DiAnna) Decker, Bob (Alice) Decker, Bonnie Entzel, Betty (Merv) Rempel, Ella Decker and Emily (John) Goertz; and many nieces and nephews
