David Eric Brost was born November 9, 1965 in Grand Junction, CO to Eddie & Carolyn (Sherlock) Brost. He lived with his mom and dad and his three older brothers, Will, Mark and Wayne in Grand Junction, at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, in Sturgis, SD and in Boulder Canyon, between Sturgis and Deadwood. David was born with down syndrome. It never slowed him or prevented the joy and love he spread and received from all who ever met him in passing or those who embraced him for 60 years.
Leon Dennis Nielsen was born on October 24th, 1950, in Tyler, MN. When he was one, the family moved to Marshall. Then, at age six the family moved to Rapid City, SD. He graduated from Rapid City high school in the class of 1968.
Gregory "Greg" Lawrence Frey, beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, at the Fort Meade VA Medical Center in Sturgis, South Dakota, at the age of 78.
Bryan Jeffery Westberg, 54, died peacefully at home in Whitewood, S.D., after a short fight with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by his family and Pastor. Bryan was born June 14th, 1970, in Mobridge, S.D., to Jeff and Julie Westberg.
Myron Roger Compton went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 10, 2025.
Myron was born on December 11, 1942 to Reid and Laura Compton. He grew up on a ranch 80 miles east of Sturgis. He graduated from Tee Pee Creek Country School in the eighth grade, and graduated from Sturgis High School in 1961. Myron ran track in high school and missed his graduation because he was running in the State Track Meet. He belonged to 4-H through his freshman year in college.
Carol Harmon, 85, of Belle Fourche, SD, died peacefully at her home on March 18, 2025. Carol was born Dec. 20, 1939, in Madison, WI, to Fred and Molly Koch. The family moved frequently due to her father’s work and Carol attended 5 high schools in 4 years. After graduating from high school, she attended Colorado State University for 2 years where she met Richard Stephan. They were married in 1960 and had 4 daughters
He was born on February 3, 1936, in Alliance, Nebraska to Ruth and Christy Brost. He married Carolyn Joyce Sherlock, January 26, 1957. As a husband and father, he earned his Registered Nursing degree in the 50’s and his Bachelor’s degree in the 70’s.
